Apply brand colors and reset a design

Set your brand palette, apply colors to supported design accents, and restore the template's authored colors without replacing its content.

Set the brand palette

In Settings → Brand & design, set the primary brand color and a brand kit of up to five colors. Select the intended brand before editing these settings. A palette with a useful light and dark range gives you more flexibility than five nearly identical shades.

The brand kit acts on a design when applied. It does not rewrite the shared template catalog. Built-in templates retain authored colors so you can keep the original treatment or opt into your brand.

Apply colors inside Studio

  1. Open the design and find Apply brand colors.
  2. Choose the available treatment, such as Brand color, Brand kit, or Brand accents. The choices depend on the design.
  3. Inspect the visible accent changes on the cover and every carousel page.
  4. Check small text and text on colored shapes at the actual reading size.
  5. Save when the result is readable and fits the design.

A brand color can be adjusted for contrast. Do not judge the result only by whether an exact hex value appears everywhere; readable text and recognizable accents matter more than recoloring every surface.

What stays unchanged

Brand treatments preserve text content, photographs, crop, and layout. Community copies use explicitly selected shape highlights: unbound colors and typography remain as submitted. Built-in templates expose their own designed accents, and some treatments may use a suitable background.

Use the layer's own color control when you want a specific manual edit. That is a separate decision from applying the brand kit across the design's supported accents.

Return to the authored colors

Turn off the applied brand treatment or use its reset control. The template's original colors should return without undoing your text replacements, photos, crops, or layout changes. Recheck a manually recolored accent after toggling a kit because the active kit controls the bound treatment while it is on.

  • No visible change? Confirm that you are looking at a supported accent and that the selected brand has the expected color.
  • Hard-to-read text? Try the alternate treatment, a different brand palette, or reset the kit and make a manual layer edit.
  • A community photo or unrelated shape changed? Reset the kit, keep the design link, and report the affected layer; community color binding should be selective.
