Use and share community templates

Copy an approved community design into your own brand, understand what is shared, and submit a template for platform review.

Use an approved community design

In Studio's Browse templates area, open Community when it is available. Community templates are still-image or carousel designs. Open a preview, select your recipient brand, and choose Use template. The result is an independent design with its own copies of the referenced images.

The original creator's captions, AI prompts, private media addresses, publishing state, and brand identifiers are not carried into your copy. Visible design text remains part of the template, so replace sample names and details before posting. Explicit handle layers can adapt to your brand's handle.

Apply your brand without replacing the design

Use my brand color is available for the template's declared highlights. The brand treatment changes only those bound shape accents and adjusts the shade for readable contrast with the intended text. It does not replace the fonts, photos, crop, or layout.

Turn Brand kit off in the editor to restore the authored accent colors. If you prefer the original palette, leave it off and make any deliberate manual color edits yourself.

Submit a design you own

  1. Open an owned still-image or carousel design in Studio. It must be a design or draft, not a scheduled or published post.
  2. Choose File → Share as template. Pending edits are saved before the snapshot is created.
  3. Confirm your rights to the design and separately confirm permission to share the image assets.
  4. Choose at least one eligible shape highlight for brand color. Pick the light or dark text treatment that matches the text over it.
  5. Submit and check the submission status and review notes from the Community view.

Understand review, updates, and withdrawal

Each submission is a frozen visual snapshot. Editing your original design does not update the submitted version; submit a new snapshot when you want a revised design reviewed. Only a platform administrator can approve or reject it.

Pending, rejected, and withdrawn templates are unavailable for other users to discover or copy. Withdraw removes an approved template from future use. Independent copies that people already made remain usable.

Frequently asked questions

Does sharing a template publish my captions or AI prompts?

No. The snapshot includes the visual design and copied image assets, but excludes captions, prompts, private media URLs, and publishing metadata.

Will editing my design change its approved community template?

No. Community submissions are immutable snapshots. Submit a new version for review if the visual design changes.
